IMPORTANT INFORMATION
-
Do I have to stay with my child during the sessions? No! Earthsong are drop off programs. You can have time to yourself to do what you need to do!!! We do prefer that your child is confident and used to spending time away from you. If your child experiences extreme distress and you aren't confident that they will settle in time, we suggest playgroup sessions where you attend and your child has the opportunity to gradually develop confidence to be away from you. We do understand, however, that your child will need to take this step at some stage and we are very well equipped with a highly experienced educator to help your child make such a very big transition. Get in touch with us for further information regarding this process.
-
Do you offer payment plans? Can I pay per session?Unfortunately we are a term program, necessitating payment for the full term prior to commencement. As the groups have extremely limited places, this ensures your place is held and you are committed to honouring that place, when that could be offered to someone else. We understand that a term fee can be a stretch for some families so we offer payment instalment plans to make paying a little easier.
-
What do I bring to a session?Children bring: nude food- in named lunchboxes named water bottle clothes for the season named clothes bag that can be carried by your child, containing all personal berlongings other items as per enrolment form.
-
Do you offer refunds for days missed?Earthsong has legally binding terms and conditions in regards to cancellations or missed sessions of our term course/program. Please refer to these via our website.
-
Where are the sessions held?Earthsong is committed to immersing children in the many beautiful biodiverse local environments surrounding where we live. We move sites according to the seasons and to allow the land to rest, which supports our sustainability ethos. We are very lucky to have secured private properties to run our programs from. Our programs are held on Bunurong Country at the Southern end of The Peninsula between Portsea and Mt Martha. Each term program stays in the same location for the whole term.
-
How much does it cost?Earthsong offers much more than just baby sitting or child care. It is a professionally developed program that is implemented by a highly experienced teacher. Children participate in a rich learning experience that is personalised to the child as an individual and also to the group as a whole. The programs are designed to allow children to learn to love learning, to learn in their own way and in their own time. Our programs are primarily outdoors encouraging children to move, breathe fresh air, develop relationship building, and social/emotional skills. Programs are developed and influenced by Forest School, holistic, and Steiner approaches. Earthsong programs are only $12.50 per hour/per child. Four hours- $50 per session / $500 per 10 week term. (please note that term length varies as it runs alongside school terms) As we grow and expand we hope to offer discount coupons and loyalty discounts to continuing community members in the future. Please see our terms and conditions for further information.
